Branding Yourself to the Sustainability Market
Event Description: In today's talent-centric workplace, it makes sense to brand yourself as a unique entity.  Branding yourself focuses your thinking on what the marketplace needs and what your competitive advantage is, and can help you discover how to best market your skills to your intended customers - and employers.  We invite you to join us for a conversation about branding yourself to the sustainability sector in the Denver metro area.  You will gain information and insights necessary to empower yourself for your transition. Topics include: learning about the sector, preparing your documents and finding opportunities, transitioning to a sustainability related position, rationale for entering the field, networking, and securing informational interviews.
***Special guest: Session will be co-facilitated by Nancy Fell, an affiliate faculty at Regis University.  She also founded Triple Bottom Line Partners, a social and  environmental consulting firm in Boulder, CO.  A nationally renowned speaker, Nancy is considered an authority on the subject of sustainability as an industry and responsibility.

Keynote Address: Getting Green Done with Auden Schendler
, Director of Sustainability, Aspen Skiing Company
Event Description: If sustainability were quick and easy—as many consultants suggest—we'd have done it by now. But it's not. It's more like trench warfare than surgery. Even though everyone's talking green, global carbon dioxide emissions are climbing, and climate scientists tell us we have under a decade to solve the problem. What matters? What's fluff? How do we know? It's time to make stuff happen, and to do that, we need fewer visionaries, and more grunts.
